The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency has been working with Bintel Inc. and a large group public and private stakeholders to create a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). A draft version of that plan is now available for public review and comment. You can find the plan and comment form at the following link: https://cwpp.us/o/pacific_co_wash/documents.
The plan will be available for public comment until Friday April 18, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. This is the second version of the plan, as the plan went through a stakeholder review process in March. A third and final version of the plan will be submitted by April 25, 2025. Once adopted this plan will provide a basis for public entities and individuals to seek grant funding for hardening their properties and reducing wildfire risk and exposure.
